Blinded by lust for the impossible
An intrusive thought calls
A beacon of gold in his life of gray
Was no longer resistible

Eyes filled with hungry pursuit
Of a nullity to soothe
But to no avail he’ll return again
To his state of anguish soon

Was it betrayal that lured him to chase a pointless dream?
Did 36 awakenings bring him back to reality? x2

Curiosity was a vengeful serpent
Disguised as an angel
Who with enough relentless instigation
Coaxed him to infidelity

As if she were a taunting siren
He listened for her call
She journeyed with him into darkness
And left him there to fall

Was it betrayal that lured him to chase a pointless dream?
Did 36 awakenings bring him back to reality? X2

Was it betrayal that lured him to chase a pointless dream?

Ghost Ships

Like the tide that wants the shore
My mind is constantly at war
My thoughts and actions disagree
My guilt has go the best of me

Fighting off my own emotions
I’m drowning in the open ocean
As i come up to catch my breath
I’m plunged again into the depths

Ghost ships sailing out to sea
Take my light and set me free
Waves will rise and they will fall
One day they’ll bury us all x2

I’m trying hard to let it go
There’s solace in the dark below
Where there is nothing there’s no pain
I ask for freedom but in vain

I look for answers in the stars
They all remind me of my scars
Don’t want redemption I want peace
I just need to be released

Ghost ships sailing out to sea
Take my light and set me free
Waves will rise and they will fall
One day they’ll bury us all
Ghost ships sailing out to sea
Take my light and set me free
Waves will rise and they will fall…
They’ll bury us all

Ghost ships sailing out to sea
Take my light and set me free
Waves will rise and they will fall
One day they’ll bury us all x2

No One in Particular

Say that you’ll meet me by that house in New Orleans
The candle glow
I’ll forget the moonlight and the color of your jeans
I miss you so

And I can’t help but think about your eyes
Constellations and dark blue skies

Where are you tonight?
Why’d you leave my sight?

Last summer’s come and gone but here I still remain
This winter’s cold
My mind’s in pieces looking through the windowpane
Our story’s old

And I can’t help but think about your eyes
Constellations and dark blue skies

Where are you tonight?
Why’d you leave my sight? X2?

Where are you tonight?
Why’d you leave my sight? X2

Vices

I don’t wanna watch it hurt you
Why won’t you admit you need help
You wanted it like a drug, you wanted pain

You pushed yourself to the limit
Buried your life within it
Now you’ve hurt so many along the way

And I hear you say
I can’t quit it, I can’t stop it
You don’t need it
It needs you

Pull yourself together girl
Put those thoughts away now girl
You don’t need it
It needs you
You better stop yourself before you lose control
You can’t take it in, you gotta let it go
You don’t need it
It needs you

There’s consequence to your actions
You’re a slave to your distraction
You had not self-control, you had no shame
There’s only one explanation
You’re trapped in this situation
And how can I help when you push me away?

And I hear you say
I can’t quit it, I can’t stop it
You don’t need it
It needs you

Pull yourself together girl
Put those thoughts away now girl
You don’t need it
It needs you
You better stop yourself before you lose control
You can’t take it in, you gotta let it go
You don’t need it
It needs you

Pull yourself together girl
Put those thoughts away now girl
You don’t need it
It needs you
You better stop yourself before you lose control
You can’t take it in, you gotta let it go
You don’t need it
It needs you X2
