Flight 14

by Uwe Gronau

This music comes from the bottom of the heart. When Uwe was waiting to enter this world under the protecting heart of his mother, he often listened to the beautiful singing and piano playing by his parents. This is what he remebered during a repatriation.

The RajMan Review
Uwe Gronau's musical flights of fancy are always worth the price of the boarding pass, and compared to actual airfare tickets, this is a real bargain.

Kick back, relax, and let the German composer's keyboard and synthesizer textures and rhythms take you away from the world of the mundane on a journey of soft sounds and progressive tunes.

As he does on all of his albums, Gronau manages all by himself to replicate a variety of performance contexts, from solo piano to duets to a full band sound, sometimes with vocals. Sax appeal is provided by Matthias Keidel on one track.

Uwe Gronau is one of those names that you know you're in for a musical treat like no other.

KEYBOARDIST UWE GRONAU FLYING HIGH WITH NEW CD
When you listen to a new recording by German composer and keyboardist Uwe Gronau, you might feel as if you are taking an adventurous flight. Thus he titled his latest musical excursion FLIGHT 14.

Gronau is a composer and arranger who plays a variety of keyboards -- synthesizers, piano, electric piano and organ. The music on this album includes many styles from solo piano, to synth tracks to progressive-rocking-new-age instrumentals. He is one of the top musicians to soar out of Germany during the past decade. His last few albums have all gone Top 5 on the international eclectic instrumental album airplay charts.

“Magic Tree - Part 2” is a wonderfully-melodic solo piano piece. “Market” has a steady beat while “Heaven” is a soaring spacey synth tune with some drums. He even sings on the tune “Prince.” “Can’t Explain” (not a re-make of the old Who hit) features a dreamy Mideast-sounding synth, but also a floating synth and an electric piano solo as well as a full drum sound. Among the 20 tunes there are many different styles to enjoy.

This is exciting new fly-high music.
