ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Joyful.
The melody came as a result of playing a sequence of chords then the music was an appropriate extension of each chord I used. This music was composed in 2012 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017.

Reverie:
As I played around using repetitions and sequences I found I could repeat these progressions using different idea’s so they did not produce sounds that caused a feeling of monotony. Reverie was composed in 2005 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017 on a Yamaha Clavinova..

Song Without Words.

While composing this piece of music I had the urge to use some of the styles that composers such as Rachmaninoff, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin made use of in certain of their compositions. Song Without Words was composed in 2013 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017 on a Yamaha Clavinova.

Crepuscular:
I was inspired by the music of John Field and Frederic Chopin when writing this music. It has a dreamy feel. Hence the name Crepuscular (of the Twighlight) Crepuscular was composed in 1995 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017 using a Yamaha Clavinova.

Glory of an Evening Prayer: Was written because of people who were role models and were inspirations in my life in one way or another. There names were Gloria and Eve, and the third’s initials were G.P. Hence the name Glory of an Evening Prayer, which again was an inspired title. This music was composed in 2000 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017 using a Yamaha Clavinova.

Love Is? Was created as a theme for a movie. As I wrote it I found it easy to allow the imagination to create a story line. Love Is? was composed in 1999 but have just re-recorded it in November 2017 using a Yamaha Clavinova.
