Album Notes
Jessica's band is by far one of the most exciting live acts on the NYC Latin Jazz scene.

The core of the band is four women: band leader/composer/flutist Jessica Valiente, Saxophonist Debra Kreisberg, bassist Anna-Milat-Meyer and percussionist Yasuyo Kimura.

On this CD, rated one of 1999's top ten by Latin Beat Magazine, the band blazes through hot Latin grooves like mambo, songo, guajira and samba.

The soloists soar above one of the tightest rhythm sections in today's Latin jazz scene, and the compositions deliver memorable melodies and fresh arrangements.

If you don't agree that Latin jazz is some of the hottest stuff on this planet, then you haven't heard Los Mas Valientes.

Warning: Los Mas Valientes may contribute to global warming.

The CD was picked as one of Latin Beat magazines Top Ten Albums of 1999, and has received excellent reviews in Jazz Now, Cadence, and New York Press.

The CD has been receiving continuos airplay on WBAI, WKCR, WFDU, WBGO and other regional stations, as well as some top jazz stations on both the east and west coasts.
