Album Notes
#1 Father written by Van Taylor for his dad in 1986 who was Warner Taylor a Bethlehem steel coke oven operator worker. Warner Taylor was also a street vendor know through out the city of Buffalo NY along with his partners as the peanut or hot tamale man.
Legendary Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Vocalist Joe Diggs is the singer of the song.He performed a dual roll singing natural and false settle. Steve (Stony) Dixon played Bass and Robert Tatum play Tenor Saxophone, Van Taylor programmed the drum tracks played the piano and strings. The track was recorded at BCMK Studios in Buffalo New York and engineered by Michael E Brydalski . it was originally release under the artist Van Taylor on BCMK Records 5/26/1987. There are 4 Bonus tracks which are songs written by Van Taylor performed by his different band incarnations UST Topaze and Taylor Made Jazz over the course of 30 years.
