ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
VEGAS VAMPIRE is:

Emil Bendixen - Vocals & Bass
Rene Shades - Guitars

The first Hard Rock Duo in the World

With a strong sense of melody and heavy guitar riffs, VEGAS VAMPIRE prove that hard rock music is still a style that is full up to date with todays music scene. It's an explosive contemporary musical cocktail. The melody and hook lines in the songs are very strong and it has always been important to the guys to produce good hooks as well playing as hard as it goes. It's a fine blend of attitude, melody, musicality and brutality.

Formed by Shades and Emil in 2002 the guys knew there were on to something good when they decided to do a demo of some of their own songs. It would take little time only to find the true VEGAS VAMPIRE sound as the boys started demoing all their original songs as fast as they could. They were playing 365 shows a year (and we do mean everyday of the year) as a bar band so the days would be spent working on their own material and they would even record ideas between sets in the breaks at the gig just to maximize time. The interest was building from a German Management that brought them into a recording situation in 2003 but it wasn't to be as the guys wasn't satisfied with the recording result and inevitably they had to brace themselves with patience and were on the look for someone who could truly capture their sound in a recording situation.
The break came by chance on a trip back to native Copenhagen as the guys hooked up with old time friend Niels Poulsen who was and is a true Taskmaster in the studio and managed for the first time to capture the real VEGAS VAMPIRE sound on "tape". The guys were accompanied on Drums by their friend Bjarne Holm and recorded 2 songs as a demo. From then on they knew they were on the right track and all efforts were set on putting together the right people and going for the "all-out hard to get" record deal. Then through various recordings and songs and gigs they hooked up with friend and drummer Freddy Bokkenheuser who also helped with the Drums during recordings. So finally all the pieces seemed to fall into place and as of february 18th 2009 the Band recorded their debut album on Supersonic Music Copenhagen.

The Album is due out in the spring of 2011.

So from the early days in the back room of a dirty bar and a lot of will-power, to recording their first album, VEGAS VAMPIRE have set out to mark their name and with the determination and international sound these guys have, there is no reason why they shouldn't succeed. Now is their time. They know who they are and they know what they want. So beware of the VV bite 'cause you'll never be same after you've been bitten.

Modern hard rock with great melodies (review in Danish)

Mine favoritter på albummet er ”Love$ick”, “In The Name Of The Father”, “Clash Of Personality” og “My Bad”.
