Album Notes

This is a companion CD for the book "Living on Principle." I rarely listen to my own work, but a little angel asked me to do so one day. I sat with my own poems and affirmations for everyday living, off the original, "Kwanzaa 7 days, 7 principles" CD. My reflection on creativity, purpose, and faith, really lifted me up. I even shouted, “Who am I?” It’s like who wrote that? I’m not that positive! The result is I started to promote it. Then my inner gremlin or my lower self was like, “No please don’t.” It's not the time to speak of our ability to come together, co-create, and be more like the divine. People won't understand why you're promoting Kwanzaa this way.

Lately, it seems we are all in a state of spiritual warfare. We often appear to be open but we walk around with closed minds. So I am staying mindful, in deed because it can get worst before it gets better. And I am that I am...and so are you. If you’re going through hell, Winston Churchill once said, keep going. If pain is passing through, let it pass. May we continue to take deep breaths, honor our past, allow room for the present, and forge towards the future, with the strength of the God or the Goddess within? If you too have been blessed by any of my works created to inspire and empower let me know and pass it on.
