Album Notes
"Vanilla Fields" is a perfect fit for those who enjoy melodic and quiet music. The record represents a tasty mix of instrumental and vocal tunes with soothing melodies and rhythmic moods.

A bit of background:
Vanilla Fields was created by musicians who never met each other in person and used Internet as their primary means of communication. Thanks to their enthusiasm, passion, diverse background, skills and creativity, the album reverberates with soothing melodies, lyricism and surprising mood changes.
This record would not be possible without the kind help and support of many artists and friends who dedicated their time and energy over the last three years to bring this project to fruition.

Here is what some of the musicians said about their work on this album in their own words.

Luis Elorza (producer, arranger, bass, keyboards, mixing and mastering engineer):
"It's been a very rewarding experience to co-produce the Vanilla Fields album with Victor. Since the first moment i heard some of his demos, it was clear to me     that his  playing and compositions had that  deep emotional and even spiritual feeling contained in his melodies , chord progressions and intricate  guitar textures , while retaining a fresh  and distinctive sound. I find Tsaran's music fulfilling , interesting and appealing to different audiences because his style is enriched with elements of Brazilian and traditional jazz, East European folk and Spanish Latin, and can be related to artists such as Pat Metheny, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Steve Hackett and Anthony Phillips.
I am personally honored to have worked with Victor and his music and look forward to working with him in the future."

Rory Hoffman (saxophone and keyboards),
"I am very happy Victor asked me to be involved with his album.  It was refreshing to work on a project that provided a challenge and some real musical fulfillment.  The ability to collaborate with people not only from different states, but different countries, always amazes me.  Though I haven't met either Victor or Luis in person, we still found ways to express ourselves individually and collectively through the music.  Thank you, Victor, for the opportunity to participate on such a creative album. It was a very enjoyable experience."

Carrie Glenn (clarinet),
"The recording process on Victor's album was very high-tech, creative, and interesting. We would fly tracks to each other from our studios in different cities, (mine being in Nashville, TN), and his in California, and create from there. I loved the open nature of the interpretation of his songs; he's an extremely creative musician and writer, as you can hear from the music. He always had a vision and a sound in mind when we'd talk. I loved hearing the final product after we would finish our project!"

I love this album! When I listen to the songs and music on it I feel calm, reassured and hopeful. You have to experience it to know what I am talking about! I bought the CD and I am glad I did because this is music I am going to like for years to come. every track on it is nice, smooth and melodic music and singing. Clean sound and recording and extremely well executed and delivered by the artist.

What a sweet album.
I'll start by admitting I've known Vic for several years on the net. He's helped me out with several projects and is one of the nicest and most helpful people I know. This is why it makes it hard to review this album fairly as it isn't fare that some one like him with his helpful nature and wide tallent set can make such a dam good album as well. I'm a musician, a music lover and a friend and can say that on all levels this album is beautiful. The guitar has sweet hints of Alex de Grassi's work and the overall feel of the album is of old school Windham Hill but has voicing that is purely Victor. The overall instrumentation is warm and tasteful, the songs have lovely movement, energy and momentum and listening to it is both easy and uplifting. Loving rhythm as I do me being a bass player, track 4, Step Walk is highly enjoyable. Now you can pick and choose spesific tracks at 99 cents if you like and each track will be well worth the investment but on an album like Vanilla Fields, save a massave 3 cents and buy all 7 tracks for $6.90 as to be honest, if you buy a couple, you'll just come back again to buy the rest after a while any way as its such a beautiful listen. :-) Finally, the fact that this album has been made between states and I believe even countries all through the internet, wow. You know we're in the future when a self made recording can be so well produced, well written and well played. It inspires me to work harder towards my own music. Have a listen to Vanilla Fields and if you like it, please buy it to encourage people Like Victor to keep giving wonderful music to the world.
