Album Notes
The pink boats have left but the Vigri brothers are back ashore with their new full-length album entitled Núna. Leaving behind their strictly acoustic past Vigri has developed a more contemporary sound with a wider use of electronic instruments and samplers; combining analog tape and computers to create something new, yet retaining its analog character and warmth.

Núna, which means “now” in Icelandic, makes an effort to look away from past and future and concentrate fully on the present. People tend to be preoccupied with the past or future and forget to enjoy the now. It’s out of this combination of the old, recycled, and new where the sound of Núna is born. The songs are faster and more beat driven than on Vigri’s debut without deviating much from their distinctive style of harmonic melodies and hypnotic flowing soundscapes. The lyrics are poetic and personal under a strong influence from the natural elements.

The album which consists of 9 songs, 3 in Icelandic and 5 in English, was recorded and produced by Vigri at their studio Hírósíma, with some recordings done at various Icelandic churches, and the Kaffibar choir in the song I follow which was recorded at Kaffibarinn bar in Reykjavík. Mastering was done by Robin Schmit and the cover was designed by Emma Heiðarsdóttir.
