Catch Me If You Can!

by Viki Nova

"Radio-friendly," "power pop gems" with catchy as hell hooks. But there's a rare honesty & edge in Viki's song-writing, while her vocals range from girly to silky to kick-ass wild.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Power pop gems," "begs for radio play," and "excellent songwriting skills," are common phrases in Viki's reviews of her debut album, Catch Me If You Can! This is a young girl who's already shared the stage with big names like Train, The Barenaked Ladies, and The Calling among others. And she's still handling her career all by herself! She has her own record label and does everything from booking & promotion to designing her own website.

Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch and Pink better look over their shoulders because Viki is going to raise more than a few eyebrows. She's proof that young women have a lot to say & sing about, they can back it up with vocal & musical chops, AND they want to rock on stage just like the boys. A live performance by Viki and her band is must-see! The energy is high as Viki switches between playing electric guitar herself or letting her lead guitar player whail away while she struts and wins over the audience.

"Catch Me If You Can" was released on Viki's own record label, Think For Yourself Records. The album was recorded in seven days in Falls Church, VA and produced by Rich Isaac (who's worked with SR-71 and Butch Walker). "This album has the full rock band sound I've always wanted and was hearing in my head when I wrote these songs," she says. Her live shows these days are also with a full band. "First and foremost, the guys are great musicians," she laughs, "but come on, they're eye candy for the girls too!"

Viki's home base is Northern Virginia. She is adding more and more live dates in Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA and New York City.

Tight, intense pop songs
Well, I like Viki's stuff so much that I tried out for her band. I see her going places. The songs are tight and strong and ready for the radio. She has her stuff together and I think we will all be seeing her on Letterman in the future.

On first listen, one might think Gwen Stefani and Michelle Branch are breeding... and Viki Nova is their latest offspring... Nova has a keen sense of melody and appreciation for the simplicity of a good hook.

Terrific Debut Album!!! Ladies of Rock Listen Up!! Viki Nova is Here at Last
One listen to this debut CD and you will find yourself saying, "Hell Yeah!! It's about time a new lady stepped up to the rock n roll microphone and did it right", at least that's what came to my mind. Besides Gwen, that are very few out there that can rock the way Pat Benetar, The Runaways, or Heart used to do it. Now Viki Nova comes along and redefines the embodiment of the hot chick rocker, complete with talent!!! The songwriting is superb, the instrumentation & arrangments are excellent. Her voice delivers each line with pure believability ( if that's not a word...it should be ) She has it all to make it HUGE!!! And did I mention, she is one hot babe!!! This CD packs a wallop from the opening riff to the very last note.
