Album Notes
The Villebillies are back and ready to blow your mind with their latest release, “From the Belly of the Beast”!!!

Known for their limitless experimentation with different sounds and musical styles, The Villebillies have put it all in perspective with this new album. Hard hitting songs span a wide range of styles yet flow seamlessly from one to the next as if to tell a story. It’s a story of a band that has overcome adversity and emerged “From the Belly of the Beast” ready to take on the world.

This fourteen track masterpiece, untouched by major label influence, showcases not only the bands musical prowess, but also their technical skill. The songwriting and production value far surpass that of their 2006 major label debut. An impressive feat considering the first album featured contributions by two Grammy winning producers. “From the Belly of The Beast” proves beyond a doubt that The Villebillies have mastered their craft and can stand completely on their own as a true creative powerhouse.

The September 2008 release of “From the Belly of the Beast” marks the beginning of a new chapter in The Villebillies’ saga. With the drama of the past couple years behind them, the band is stronger, tighter, and more dedicated than ever to creating great original music.

Great change in styles, still the Villebillies all the way love the album aint a song on it that I dont like, just like the first album great music and killer raps cant wait for the next edition

This cd is one of the best cds I have bought in a long time. These boys are from my home town of Louisville, Kentucky. By far one of the greatest bands to come out of this city. Every song is great and you can listen to it over and over again. I love "Don't Make Sense" which is a song all about these guys. Keep it up and I can't wait to see what the next album will be like.

Awesome record
Like their first effort this follow-up album is full of melody, great hooks, cool raps and an overall atmosphere that makes you feel good. Been listening to the CD like every day ever since I got it. I'm totally looking forward to their next album!

PS: Thank you, CD Baby, for a great service! ***** to you as well!

Hi guys, great job! Very unique sound, congrats! Have you heard of Aubrie Nicole? She is from Louisville too,and good! Her unique sound would go better in a song with you guys better than a song with kd or nappy roots, I think anyway. I have heard her on a couple online stations, check her out here on cdbaby too. Anyway, excellent job on this cd, love it as well as the first! You are a band that has created a sound all your own!

Spread The Word!
Belly of the Beast is probably a 5-star c.d. I just haven't played it enough to hear all the nuances. If you have not seen this band live, you need to. I love bands that sing (and rap) about where they are from. This band deserves all the success in the world. This c.d. deserves 5 stars, I will go and listen to it for the rest of 2009 and then kick myself in the ass about why I didn't give it 5 stars! Wish I had a flask and a gun....

Buy It!
This is one of my favorite albums released this year. Nothing too serious, just a pretty fun, party record overall that maintains its originality as well. It has a great variety of sound. Tracks that make ya wanna bob your head and others that wanna make ya jump into a moshpit. I definitely recommend this CD to all fans of alternative rap-rock type music.

Oh My God!
This is probably one of the best albums I have ever heard! I just love the mix of rock, country and rap! I live in Sweden and this kind of music would go(I think!) very well in this country if just more peole heard of it! I have played it for almost all of my friends and they all love it!! If I get A chance I will try to get this one played on the radio in Sweden and just watch your sales go up to the sky!!!

Sail On Westward VilleBillies, Sail On!
Great lyrics, great beats, and great hooks make up this great album. They did such a job on this CD, that it makes you want to sing along aloud with them on the chorus. I don't think these guys will have any problems facing the whales on their way to greatness.
