Album Notes
Motel 69 - Vollmer's second effort - a premier collection of fast moving, hard rocking 'Gland Rock' songs that really stick to you. The band injects influences from Humble Pie, Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, and AC/DC to give you a full bodied, refreshing and satisfying blend of Vollmer. Recorded with few overdubs, this CD sounds like a live concert. The cover version of AC/DC's Overdose (live) gives some insight to a Vollmer concert experience!

Heavy Metal Parking Lot - An awesome video tribute to the 1980's metal concert experience. After some 20 years the guys who filmed the original have released an anniversary DVD with alot of bonus footage, including a recent Vollmer concert. Check out all kinds of personal band information and enjoy a look back at what we were wearing back in the 80s! It's freakin hilarious!

Music from this CD is featured in a movie by Todd Rohal called Guatemalan Handshake. In the movie, there is a scene where a girl is doing the NASCAR victory burnout in a field while "Call to the Wild" is blasting in your face. It's very cool that "Call of the Wild" was selected for that segment because the song was written about being a hell raiser and doing doughnuts in a field, neighbors yard, or whatever you could get away with. One other song is featured, "Girl Loves to Rock" is being played in a scene at a skating-rink. That song has nothing to do with a skating-rink, but if you remove the 'ting-ri' that's what the song is about!

Vollmer rocks. Great songs on this 2nd CD from a hard rocking band. AC/DC and Jackyl style good straight ahead arena rock.

Pleasantly Surprized!!!! listened to it over and over!
Great american rock and roll! Has big drum sounds, guitars are melodic and powerful, and the singers voice raps it all up. A must have to show off to your friends!

These guys Kick @ss Live or in Your Player!
I just saw these guys play at a club in Gaithersburg MD this past weekend! They know how to bring it! They were doing awesome covers of AC/DC, Zeppelin, and old, old Aerosmith. Their orginals blew me away too! They have a great sound and it brought back alot of memories. Rock on brothers!

Killer Band!
Awesome addition to anyones collection that likes to ROCK! Highly reccommended!! Buy it NOW!!!

Excellent party tunes
This CD can get everyone up and moving, put it on to get the party started or maybe later to keep it going till morning. Maybe both!

Vollmer-Motel 69 is a 1 cd that has to be added to any rock 'n' collection. Note a bad track to be found on this disk. Jade's vocals and Allen's guitar work grab your attention while the rhythm section of Steve and Russ rattle your bones and before you know it, you've been rocked. This disk will make the rest in your cd rack run and hide.

I took a chance and it was worth it!!!!!
I was cruising through the '70s selections and Motel 69 looked interesting, the samples sounded decent so I bought the CD. Bottom line is I love it! The recordings have a big concert style sound and the AC/DC cover is an excellent note to end on. I also checked out Vollmers website and it looks like these guys have been rocking their entire lives. I'm a solid Vollmer fan now and am looking forward to their next work!
