ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"With Heart and Soul and Voice" is the debut album of the Indianapolis schola cantorum Vox Sacra.

A small choir consisting of musicians from multiple parishes in the Indianapolis Catholic Archdiocese, Vox Sacra specializes in works from the Catholic sacred repertory, featuring the breadth of music from Gregorian Chant and polyphony to modern choral work.

"With Heart and Soul and Voice" is a collection of Advent and Christmas music, drawing from ancient Gregorian hymns as well as contemporary settings of traditional texts. The choral works span a wide variety of textures, from the monophony of chant to the thick textures of Lauridsen's "O magnum mysterium." We sincerely hope that the sounds contained herein will help to elevate you and your family to a greater appreciation of the mysteries of the Incarnation of Christ.
