ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
The notion to produce a CD while in motion occurred to me December 2009. My songs and music have always been inspired and the lands I have traveled and the people I have met along the way. There seemed no better way to pay tribute to them both. The odyssey which ensued was more grand than I could have imagined. Adrift, without the home or job which defined a long and profound chapter of my life, I began The Journey. Continual motion and an endless variety of circumstances set the perfect stage for The itinerant Lady. I planned tours which would bring me near to some of the artists who have influenced me most. Between shows, I worked as a wrangler, camp cook, actress, seamstress, caretaker, carney, chinker and painter to stay afloat. Old and new friends kept me warm, fed and inspired me to persevere. One by one, the songs blossomed as unique reflections of the musicians and engineers who brought them to life. Working with masters allowed and mandated my exploration into new dimensions of music and the art of recording. Eleven studios, two years and many thousands of miles later, I reflect upon the mountains and valleys which sculpted The Journey. It has been epic indeed...

I love this cd, but I am biased I love everything you do! I wish I knew all the stories behind the songs, but maybe not. Keep playing, keep in touch, I count you as one of my best friends, I wish you good luck and peace with this album.
