ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Walk Forever will doubtlessly instill you with the desire to listen forever. Walk Forever is a band that is artistically at the pinnacle of the alt-rock scene, performing with a rare energy songs that reveal real emotional intelligence in songwriting. The music has a personality all its own but at the same time rock's great musical traditions can be heard as influences in the unique strains of this band's songs.

Johnny Tredent is the architect and sole creator of Walk Forever. Johnny does all the writing of music and lyrics, all the production, all of the performing (every instrument on a walkforever track is 99% of the time all him), and of all the arranging. Johnny attended Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in songwriting. And he’s also quite prolific having written over 150 songs in just 3 short years. “I love bands that do it all, you don’t see a lot of that lately”.

Music's power, says Johnny Tredent of Walk Forever. Music is also an emotional beast and so skillful songwriting and sharp performances easily touch the emotional center of the listener. Music also inspires sensations of intensity interwoven with a sense of calm and peace. Tredent is a member of a band that can prove all of these statements to even the most skeptical listener. Just take one listen. That's all it takes. (And that one listen will lead to another, and another, and another ... for infinity, perhaps; and isn't that the meaning of forever?)

You've heard it said that it's not the destination but the journey that counts. Music is sort of the same thing. While pure, true perfection never comes along, it is still the striving for it that justifies us in the end. And it's such an effort that brings about greatness in art, including music. “Music,” says Tredent, “is that neverending search for the perfect chord, melody, harmony and lyric to describe a moment in our lives.” Tredent's words reveal a secret to the effectiveness of Walk Forever's music. It’s the songwriting thats in the throes of everyday life – and our life is the culmination of our moments – and thus does it strike a chord, as close to the perfect chord as possible, a chord that ever listener can feel resonating through him- or herself. “If as a songwriter I can make the moment better by song, then I've done my job.”
