Album Notes
On this Christmas CD, Ann presents the listener with classics of the season including "I'll Be Home For Christmas", "Silent Night," "Sleigh Ride," "Mary Did You Know" and "Chestnuts Roasting On Open Fire" with five new Ann Walseman originals, including "The Harmony of Christmas," "Dancin On The Christmas Train," and "Miracle (The Snowflake Song).

Known for her ability to connect and communicate with audiences, her mellifluous voice and her ability to stir the listener with emotion, these songs have a broad appeal. The songs take the listener on a journey, from light-hearted to deep, contemplative thoughts of the Season.

Accompanied by the very talented pianist and guitarist Andy Rudy on almost every song and cellist Tina Costanza (on four of the songs), it's a simple presentation of the season, thus the CD title, "Simple Beauties of the Season."

A very intimate, stirring portrayal -- songs that will become part of your Christmas traditions for years to come!

Simple Beauties of Christmas by Ann Walseman
Ann Walseman puts an exciting new twist on old Christmas classics with her inventive vocal stylizing. She moves easily from uplifting energy to reflective warmth in her interpretations with creative harmonies and accompaniments of pianist Andy Rudy. In my opinion, the real stars of this CD are Walseman's own compositions, some co-written with Robert Campbell. The compelling lyrics of "Harmony of Christmas" are complemented by Ann's warm vocal sound and interspersed with beautiful cello solos by Tina Costanza. You'll hear the snowflakes in the piano part in the enchanting "Snowflake Song." The peppy "Dancin on the Christmas Train will have your toe tapping as blues chords and spot on lyrics tickle your ears. And you'll think you are looking out the window with Ann as she sings to the sparrow in "Chrismtas Morning". No matter hwat kind of music you like, there's something you will love on this CD. Ann Walseman succeeds in breathing both depth and freshness into "The Simple Beauties of Christmas." Listening to it will make your Christmas richer.

Incredibly beautiful voice! I love how Ann adds a new dimention to these old classics; Differant levels in her chords makes it out of the ordinary, new, and a pleasure to listen to.
