ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wanda and The Way It Is began as an all-woman group in the late 1980s. It was my intention to combine a solid James Brown semblance of a rhythm section with melodic songs and sweet vocal harmonies. Island Records signed us up in 1987 with "We Got the Feeling." No promotion or distribution was made. Then, over a decade later, I started writing songs for this Epiphany album. With the resurgence of Wanda and The Way It Is, my spirit is soaring and my song-writing has improved. You can definitely hear the "ah hah" moments in Epiphany as Wanda goes through her trials and tribulations. But more importantly, she is able to laugh at herself! This is an entertaining and provocative album I know you will enjoy listening to. --Janet Laing a/k/a Wanda von Dunagoy
