Album Notes
This recording project came about from the desire to merge various styles of music on the same theme. What was sacred in 1610? Was it the same sacred of 1747 or today? And pondering this idea, the creation of music for what is sacred or divine has survived through centuries and circumstances, i.e., the hymn writers that wrote text on their death beds to a healing God, or slaves praying to God for deliverance from their captors, or songs of praise and exultation to a masterful God of excellence. This theme of sacred song to God unites the mixed musical styles and creates a unique program rarely considered.
