Album Notes

Wayne has been playing guitar since highschool in the late 60's, having been inspired by great songwriters like James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Gordon Lightfoot. His guitar style includes delicate finger picking, along with nice bass runs with the thumb leading. Wayne has a sweet tenor voice that he inherited from his grandfather the great Irish tenor, Richard Kennan. With songs ranging from folk music, Spanish Ballads, and folk rock to a wonderful selection of standard, cover tunes and original works, Wayne performs for many events and special occasions.

In 1998, 1999, and 2000, Wayne was a winner for the " People's Choice Concert' and was featured at the Folk Factory in Philadelphia, PA. The late Tor Jonassen invited Wayne to play to his radio show, "Music in the Folk Tradition' on WRDV FM 88.9 in Warminster, PA.

For the past ten years, Wayne has performed in the tri-state area bringing his music to many audiences; from senior citizen and children's concerts, to holiday shows and engagements at coffee houses, cafe's restaurants and outdoor festivals.

"Wayne has a ...silky, sweet tenor voice..."

"Wayne filled the room and our ears with his soft, velvety sounds...truly a warm and cozy evening..."
Joanne Addler
The Buckhorn
"...transitions from song to song, mood to mood, were smooth...perhaps Dowlin's easy-going eclectic performance is linked to a thought in one of his original songs:I am who I am..."
