"Mescaline Morning and Various Singles" is W. Dire Wolff's latest release of new musical material and previously released singles. Psychedelic folk rock music that includes previously released singles, "Delilah in Black", "Missing Her", and "Skate Shop", which are included with the extended improvised guitar jams, "Mescaline Morning" and "Espanol de Luna". Wolff's folk/rock and Americana songwriting style is showcased in songs such as "Tennessee Girl", "Drive to Cheyenne", and "Heartsung Man". A bare bones heartfelt version of Stevie Nicks', from Fleetwood Mac, song "Landslide" is included in this collection of music by W. Dire Wolff. This is guitar based renditions of songs using simple vintage production to create an old time feel.

The CDs will include the song, " "No Time for Running"" as a bonus track. Download for the song "No Time for Running" is available on the "Best of the First Decade" Digital Album, that was released by W. Dire Wolff in 2011.

"Mescaline Morning" and "Espanol de Luna" are both extended instrumental, improvised guitar jams. "Mescaline Morning" is an experimental guitar composition that uses the acoustic sounds of a Hummingbird rhythm guitar accented by the electric Fender Stratocaster sound on lead. This is Psychedelic music based on some basic themes then interwoven through musical improvisation. Wolff has said of this musical style, "This is what music is about to me. It is my music in it's purest form." The folk based music inspired by the adventures of Mescalito in "Mescaline Morning", is contrasted by the more driving electric slide guitar jam on "Espanol de Luna".

The album begins with "Skate Shop", which is a song about an art show by the late "Phoebe", that was held inside a skate board shop in Petaluma, California! “I didn’t want to write another song about Trains, Prison, Smuggling, or love; I wanted to write about something new and now. I had just gone to see Phoebe’s art show at a skate board shop and it was pretty cool. It really changed my thinking to see her ideas; and so I wrote a song inspired by her show.”

The songs are studies in Americana music with a modern influence. The psychedelic folk song, "Tennessee Girl", is done in the same musical humor as the cowboy trail song, "Drive to Cheyenne". "Delilah in Black" is a fun song that reflects psychedelic, country, and rock music in an old fashion single format. It's a California song about a street corner in Mill Valley, which was recorded in Petaluma. The songs use simple vintage production to create an old time feel, reflecting various regional folk music styles with a psychedelic attitude.

The café setting of "Heartsung Man” reminds fans of Wolff’s long career of coffee house performances. "Heartsung Man” was written while he was living on a commune in Oregon. Largely inspired by the early career of Arlo Guthrie, Wolff has played in Coffee Houses in Vermont, California, and the great Pacific Northwest. To help relive these coffee house shows and the stops along the way to play in unlikely truck stop diners in Montana and Wyoming, this version of "Heartsung Man” was included in the release.

“Landslide” was recorded in preparation for a memorial service for a fallen friend.
