Shakespeare’s Sonnet #27, “Weary with Toil, I Haste Me to My Bed” explores the power of dreams. Dreaming leads him to the one he loves, transforming her aged face back to the beauty of youth. Dreams this powerful often awaken the dreamer to compelling insights. A state of insomnia also seems to be a possibility here, since Shakespeare eludes to being haunted by someone he loves, “Lo thus by day, my limbs, by night, my mind. For thee and for myself, no quiet find.” These words indicate that a kind of obsession has taken place, causing a strain on the body and mind. This single is from the Sonnet Love Songs album.
