Album Notes
The last original Weavers album ever recorded!
...and unavailable ANYWHERE for the last 15 years.

We have discovered a lost cache of TOGETHER AGAIN, the last CD recorded by the original four Weavers (Pete Seeger, Lee Hays, Ronnie Gilbert and Fred Hellerman).

The album was recorded at Carnegie Hall on November 28, 1980 during the concert that was the basis of the award winning film: THE WEAVERS: WASN'T THAT A TIME.

These CD's are the very last of them and are not available in any stores.
Songs include: Darling Corey, In A Jocular Vein, Get Up and Go, Tomorrow Lies In The Cradle, Wasn't That A Time, Dark As A Dungeon, Hay Una Mujer, Venga Jaleo, Kisses Sweeter Than Wine, When I'm Down For The Count, All Night Long, Something About The Women, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Wimoweh, and Goodnight Irene.
"One day while chopping wood Pete Seeger thought 'It would be good to assemble the Weavers and have a concert.' So, calling the Weavers together, Pete said, 'Why don't we have a concert?" And the Weavers' manager responded by saying, 'We'll have two concerts!' And so it came to pass that on the fifth and sixth day of a Thanksgiving week the Weavers gave concerts. Throngs of people attended and a good time was had by all. The morning after the second concert three of the Weavers slept late. On that seventh day Pete Seeger got up and chopped more wood."

What a Treat!
CD Baby is the only place I've known to have a stash of this recording on CD. Don't know why that's so, but if you have the chance buy it now while it's still available! It is fabulous -- often fun, sometimes very poignant (and historic, too!). It should be in every folk music library.

It's Good!
This is a great uplifting CD that is on my iPod and has got me through hours of fighting weeds on the farm.
Now all we can hope is that somewhere someone is inspired to release the DVD/Blu-ray of "Wasn't that a time" one of the finest documentaries and an important record of a major american act.
On that if you ever come across the Rolling Stone Rock Almanac compare the number of mentions the Weavers get compared to Elvis and the Beatles to be reminded of just how big a group they were until noted music critic Senator Joe McCarthy decided to shut them down.

CD version of favorite LP
It was with great joy that I discovered this hard-to-find CD to replace my old LP version that was purchased at the time it was originally issued. I had given up on ever getting it in the CD format. Now, how about a CD reissue of "Travelin' On"?
