ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wellington Marcus is a fresh, unique and an enjoyable concept in melodic orchestral jazz!

If you’re under 25 years of age, you may even call it “Elevator Music” but then, many 25 year old and under have referred to “Smooth Jazz” as “Elevator Music”. Perhaps there should be a genre labeled “Elevator Music” because this collection of melodic orchestral tunes from Wellington Marcus lifts you up until you’re ready to “get down”.

Wellington Marcus has been influenced by, as well as, studied the masters of this style. Great ones like: Quincy Jones, Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery and Ray Charles.

Now, in no way am I trying to give the impression that this album “A Tunesmith” will sound like the works from the “Great Ones” except that I, a Fan, enjoy listening to this album as much as I enjoy “chilling” with albums from the “Great Ones”.

Perhaps you too will discover what I have when listening to Wellington Marcus, which is: THIS IS NICE!
~ A fan!
