Album Notes
Wir schreiben den 5. Juli 2009 und ich habe das Tennis zwischen Roger Federer und Andy Roddick 5:7, 7:6, 7:6, 3:6, 13:14
gesehen.
Today is July 5th 2009 and I watched the tennis game between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick 5:7, 7:6, 7:6, 3:6, 13:14
in Wimbledon. The game enthused me so much that I could not sleep any more the following night and instead of lieing down
I sit down and wrote a new composition and when the sun was rising the " R o g e r F e d e r e r M a r c h " was done. And believe or not its a world famous march.
Werner Frey played the zither on Johann Strauss' " Tales from the Vienna Wood " with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra on
May 12, 2007. His performance was exceptional. He is an extraordinary musician and artist who performs equally well as an
ensemble musician and soloist. He has a unique ability to communicate his love and understanding of Austrian music to his
listeners and our audiences where thrilled with his playing and stage presence.
Werner Frey is entertaining and engaging with patrons and audiences. I would highly recommend him to any orchestra who wants to add an authentic Viennese flair to any program.
Sincerely yours, Michael Wall, Director of Artistic Operations, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra / Canada.
