Album Notes
Born in Golden, British Columbia, and raised in central Alberta, Barry Westerlund was brought up on the music of Hank Williams Sr., George Jones, and Johnny Cash.
This influence is readily apparent in Barry's Debut Album "Every Five Minutes" as they serve as an undercurrent to his honest straight forward musical style. From the traditional country feel of songs like Fades To Blue, and Nothing Left To Say, to the edgy feel of Every Five Minutes, Barry brings honesty and emotions to this album through his heart felt vocals and raw emotional story lines that echo that of his early musical influences.

Barry now pulls inspiration from an ever growing range of musical influences. A lot of whom come from his own backyard in Edmonton, Alberta, as well as coast to coast in Canada's folk music scene. Barry hopes this album will find and home in the hearts of both folk and country music lovers alike.
