ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
West Kings Highway is a three-piece band from San Antonio, Texas, that blends rootsy alternative rock, rhythm and blues, folk, and Americana with lyrics that reflect a heart-on-the-sleeve sensitivity.

Comprised of John Carrera who sings lead vocals and plays acoustic and electric guitar and harmonica, Peter Matteson who plays bass guitar, and Judson Taylor who plays keyboards, West Kings Highway has a deep respect for several American musical styles that is evident in their original songs and live performances, from blues and jazz to bluegrass and folk, and from reflective acoustic ballads to straight-ahead rock and roll.

In an age when pop songs have been reduced to formula, West Kings Highway believes strongly in an improvisational, open approach to solos.
