Album Notes
From the rainy city of Seattle emerges what could possibly be the freshest new Roots Rock Reggae to hit the airwaves. The Wet City Rockers have been compared to the likes of Bob Marley, Shinehead, Police, and steel Pulse. With a humorous viewpoint the Wet City Rockers maintain the foundation of roots Reggae while adding an appalling new dark flavor. Releasing their debut self titled album in 2005 critics have given the Wet City Rockers rave reviews and high regards. The band is not only deeply influenced by the sounds of King Tubby, Scientist, and Bob Marley but the band has also worked with some of the classic Jamaican artist like Winston Jarrett, and Wadi gad. The band consist of four main musicians, Micah Averiett Vocals, Norm Family Van Baker Bass, Dan Lloyd Drums, and Bill Patton Guitar. Sinci lovers sit back and indulge in the Rootsy, Dubby sound of the Wet City Rockers.

Mr Andersson

Best Reggae in years
I've been playing this record regularly since I bought it two years ago. It's really great: relaxed and groovy - just what reggae should be. As with all good music its difficult to put your finger on why it is so good. Nevertheless it is....

If you like reggae music this stuff is for you!

CD Baby

Frankly, it's not every day- or even that often- that a reggae album comes along that really makes an impression on us. Whether it's the fact that the genre is satiated with Bob Marley wannabe acts or perhaps just freak coincidence, it's an unusual pleasure to be in the presence of such a group as the Wet City Rockers. Whle managing to keep the roots of reggae solid so that purist fans are at ease, they venture into creative and innovative territories, bringing in little hints of pop, jazz and something that almost echoes The Police. This group knows how to intoxicate their fans with some of the best vibes in the business.

maui boy

Best new artist in Reggae category
Well mixed and recorded, solid natural instrumentation, nice guitar work. Tell the guy's, I really need more cow bell. I can't wait to here the next album. Captured the essence of trenchtown rock. Bob would skank to the Wet City Rockers.
