Album Notes
Delightful to see and hear, Whitney Phoenix is a master of piano artistry. His playing is vital and expressive, and his zest for life and love of art is evident in every note. Whitney's playing has been an unexpected highlight for many visitors to Las Vegas, who return again and again to experience his musical interpretation and incomparable charm. Whitney brings the diversity of his life experience to his music, and all agree that when he touches the piano, he touches hearts!

Whitney Phoenix was raised as a gifted child in the picturesque Vermont countryside, and began playing piano at 8 years old. Captivated by the beauty and complexity of classical music, he spent many years practicing eight hours a day. Whitney took his formal study at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio, after which he served in the U. S. Marine Corps for four years. As piano instructor in the military, Whitney began exploring the world of jazz, blues, R&B and pop music. Since that time, he has performed with a variety of bands, from the most intimate of settings to the concert stage.

Since 1993, Whitney has performed as a solo artist in Las Vegas. He has appeared extensively at Caesar's Palace, Imperial Palace, MGM Grand, and is currently featured at the magnificent Bellagio Hotel. He also works and records with his wife, Marianne, a vocalist of extraordinary ability.
