Album Notes
All the songs of concern and hope included on this album were written and sung by Bob Wickline. He is joined vocally with his wife(Lynda), two daughters (Mandi and Marcee), and many very talented musical friends from the northwest and Nashville.

In the early 1950s, six-year-old "Bobby" Wickline launched his singing career as a regular on WLEX and WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky, strumming his three-quarter Gibson guitar and singing country and early rock & roll tunes.

After moving to Hawthorne, California at age twelve, Bob's love for music was rekindled by neighbor and friend, Carl Wilson (future Beach Boy), who urged him to take out his guitar from under the bed, dust it off, and start playing again. During his freshman year at Hawthorne High, he began writing his own songs and started recording in Hollywood.

After he and Lynda moved to Washington State in 1975, Bob started his own group, and soon his own interest in "snow skiing" led him to write, co-direct, and "World of White - THE Ski Music Video Album." This album led to sponsorships for ski industry promotions and exposure of his music on The Today Show, ET, as well as frequent appearances during the golden years of the Nashville Network.

As a career elementary school teacher, Bob also found time to form the touring group, WICKLINE, which made the rounds of the local, county, and state fair circuits for several years. During these same years, WICKLINE toured over 2,000 elementary schools for the Washington State Arts Commission with "WICKLINE'S Bluegrass Assembly." The five piece, professional bluegrass band shared the history of bluegrass with elementary students. The show was augmented with humorous skits and anecdotes. These were truly magical, musical history tours.

His passion for a brighter future for the children of the world brought him, along with his singing family, a cross-country tour of radio and television interviews highlighting his song, "Now's the Time to Put Children First." The tour was initiated and supported by UNICEF International. The family finished their national tour with the presentation of their song during the "Olympic Mayor's Breakfast," which was an opening event for the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA.

Many of the progressive songs included in "WAKE UP AMERICA" by WICKLINE have been seen and/or heard on progressive radio, television, websites, in concert at fairs, forums, schools, conferences, conventions, and political rallies throughout the country.
