ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jan Wickline, born and raised in New York City, is a singer and songwriter with a catalog of over 120 songs. He plays most styles of contemporary music with a mix of jazz, classical Latin, and "world fusion." Working as a band leader for most of his professional life, he has fronted several bands, the most notable being the Amber City Band. The band worked the New York City and Long Island club and college scene during most of the mid '70's through the late '80's. He was inspired by the early jazz greats including Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughn, Charlie Parker, and the Beatles and taught himself guitar by ear. He's been composing over the years and defining his unique musical style.

All sounds on the album were true to form and produced by musicians playing actual instruments. In Jan's words, "In this world of tribulation, we need a feel good album and I hope this will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart."
