women in docs (Chanel Lucas and Roz Pappalardo) are an independent folk / country act based in Brisbane, Australia. Throughout their career the act have sold 20,000 CD's and have achieved significant playlist airplay on national radio networks, ABC and JJJ as well as international success with College radio stations in Canada and America, Germany and China.

Famous for their raw, exciting, upbeat sounds, well-considered lyrics, crisp, acoustic guitar and soaring harmonies, the act gather large, loyal crowds wherever they play including all major music and folk festivals across Australia, in particular, Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Big Day Out, Woodford Folk Festival, Livid, The Gympie Muster, The National Folk Festival, Fairbridge Folk Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival (The Famous SpiegelTent).

Performing internationally has been a highlight of their career. women in docs toured America in 2004, performing at The 16th International Folk Alliance Conference in San Diego as well showcasing for the esteemed conference and festival, South By South West in Austin, Texas alongside fellow Aussies, John Butler Trio and Powderfinger. women in docs also performed at the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival (China) in 2004. This tour was the first of its kind for original, acoustic, female musicians, again marking women in docs as groundbreakers and forerunners in their genre of music.

women in docs have further cemented their reputation as consummate performers and accomplished songwriters with their fourth studio release, EP 'Times Like These'. Produced by David Nicholas (INXS, george and more) and Darren Middleton (guitarist, Powderfinger), Times Like These is an uplifting tribute to the troubadour lifestyle, exploring themes of ambition, passion, and the sacrifices that are sometimes associated with living your dream.
