Album Notes
Wild Ride's original music has a flavor of good old rock and roll, so it blends well with the genre of 60's & 70's rock. This 5-song EP is a tribute to our late friend, Johnny Perez, drummer of Sir Douglas Quintet. It features an original song written by Johnny Perez & Brittany "BB" Scott, "The Breakfast Song." It was written in recent years, before he passed away in Sept. 2012. We met him at his studio, Topanga Skyline Studio, in December, 2010, and he asked us if we'd like to record some of his original music. We chose "The Breakfast Song." Also on the EP is Wild Ride's original song, Looking out My Window, and two Sir Douglas Quintet covers; Mendocino and She's About A Mover. Last, but by no means least, Wild Ride covers Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode."
