ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Formed in the summer of 2005, Indie Folk Pop band Wild-Wood is the daydream realized of singer-songwriter Tony Lechner. Lechner's talented songwriting and the belief of its members in the pure and simple beauty of the human voice accompanied by acoustic wooden instruments is the basis of their sultry sound. With foundations in folk, bluegrass, and old-fashioned rock and roll, the group melds sweet vocal harmonies with assorted instruments create universally enjoyable music.

Reviews:

"Valley band Wild-Wood offers a quietly insistent acoustic brew. On much of Wildflower Lullaby, shuffling drums drive the tunes, and mandolin punctuates smooth soundscapes of violin, upright bass and guitar. The results are more pop than folk, but more folk than most pop........Wild-Wood sports talented vocalists who offer well-delivered melody that often carries the band right over the falls to a pleasant brand of acoustic sunniness that's well worth a spin."

-James Heflin, Valley Advocate (Northampton, MA)

"...tight rich harmonies, skilled, professional, soulful musicianship...beautiful arrangements, and original compositions worthy of airtime on both country and pop radio stations."

-Bruce King, owner Mocha Maya's (Shelburne Falls, MA)
