Album Notes
Amongst Crows is a loose concept album about facing reality. With influences ranging from Jack White to Morgan James this album has a bit of everything. Hard driving, fast and loose rock is spread across the album, but Will Crosswait also dips into soul music, 60s pop, tender ballads, and punk rock. Will's songwriting is defined by his lyricism, with lyrics like "You don't feel alone when you're trapped within your home, trap-happy until you die" (from Unentitled) and "Just walking around... is like fully loaded Russian roulette" (from Catchin' Strays). His love of wordplay is supported by his grooving basslines, chaotic drums, driving guitars, and passionate vocals.

Amongst Crows tackles issues ranging from the darkness of depression (No Fairytales) to the bright light of love (She's Comin' Back). The album follows a character dealing with the sharp contrast between the comforting myths of childhood and the harsh realities of life. Although there is a story behind the music, Will's lyrics are left open-ended, in the hopes that listeners can impart their own emotions and stories to the music.

While Amongst Crows is a studio album, the third track, Unentitled (Acoustic), was recorded live in the studio (there's even a video floating around to prove it!)
