ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In the spirit of the previous works (VOL.1 and 2), this album represents the original musical concepts of William Kurk, which are comparable to many legendary artists, but essentially so different, that it stands alone from anything that has ever been done collectively. 'THE SOUND: VOL.3' is a unique project, that features some of the best talent from Chicago, and the United States. Such artists are featured in this featured soundtrack: Bob Mintzer (yellowjackets), Will Kennedy (yellowjackets), Benny Reid, Corey Wilkes, Buddy Fambro, Marqueal Jordan, Khari Parker, Tim Seisser, Myron Cherry, Norman Palm, Matt Cashdollar, Marquis Hill, plus many more.

The album is written, produced, and arranged by William Kurk, and associate producer Anthony Nicholson.

Words cannot describe the depth of this music, so it is best to sample the works individually and conclude your own musical interpretation. 'THE SOUND: VOL.3' is simply that: SOUND, and the agreement of sonic waves is purely based on one's imagination and understanding of life, as well as art. 'POP-FUSION' is this genre, and although the links to other standing genres is heavy, the design of this vehicle requires a unique road for travel, resulting in a new path to the future of music.

Ambitious, but quality music.
After getting several non-stop emails from a marketing firm promoting this album, I finally got the time to purchase and listen for myself, and I must say the album had to grow on me. It's not a straight-forward album by today's standards, but it's good music. It sounds like an album that Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Steely Dan got together and made with the lights out. Would I recommend it? Well, it's definitely not for simple minded listeners, so give it try. It may surprise you. It surprised me.

The BEST Crossover Fusion Album!
Another great album by William Kurk! Being one of those many who thoroughly enjoyed the Vol. 1 & 2, I knew this was a must have item of the year. As I expected from William Kurk, this album was portrayed with full of surprises & his quite unique characters. Who would have thought this album would open with a classical piece like “EVOLUTION OF MAN”? I love every song on this album for its uniqueness and originality. Featured musicians like Bob Mintzer (yellowjackets), Will Kennedy, Benny Reid, Corey Wilkes, Buddy Fambro, Marqueal Jordan, Khari Parker, Tim Seisser, Myron Cherry, Norman Palm, Matt Cashdollar, Marquis Hill, Liza Micelli, Deshaun Sims, and Contessa Rodriguez carry out “The Sound” flawlessly and make this album solid. This is the BEST Crossover Fusion album ever and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Just be ready to let William Kurk take you on a journey to explore the unknown parts of the Universe!
