ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Talia begins when its narrator - fiction writer "William Nava" - creates a self-aware character named "Talia Samsung." Talia is just like anyone else: she has a background, a job, relationships. What makes Talia special is that she is written to discover that she's a character in a story.

William then struggles with writer's block. When he picks up the pen again, he writes Taia to suggest that he check himself into a mental asylum, so that he'll have plenty of time to write. Excited by the prospect of following his own character's advice, William checks into the psych ward at Woodstock University Hospital.

William befriends various patients while working on Talia's story. Talia then proposes another plot twist for her story - one that leaves William fearing for his life.

This story is told through spoken word and a combination of prog rock, jazz fusion, minimalism, fugue, electronica, hip-hop and prog metal, performed by over a dozen different musicians.
