Tony is on a number of recordings as he also was a significant part of MFSB with many of the Philadelphia International Recordings and artists in the 70's. Tony Williams also was a part of the band that did the music for Bill Cosby's TV show. Near-perfect technique, inspired phrasing, tastefully executed. An elegant offering from a man who's personal integrity and stolidity infuses this music with confidence and competence.
I say this because I've known Tony Williams since I was a budding musician in middle school. He lives for this music and approaches it with equal parts joy and committment. I can hear it throughout this recording. Impressive.
