ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Water. The essence of all life. Our relationship with water ranges from dependence to disdain. Some may see it as a symbol of purity and renewal - a cleansing for the earth and for the soul; while others have experienced the frustration of water's reckless ambivalence toward us when it causes life-shattering damage or even death. This album explores only a fraction of this love/hate relationship by carefully choosing cover music (from David Bowie, Talking Heads, Eurythmics, Grace Jones, Moby, and Peter Gabriel) along with originals crafted from my own feelings about water. The title is "Don't Be Afraid Of The Water." I have long feared water when it takes the form of a lake, ocean, river, or swimming pool. Yet, I appreciate its beauty and its ability to soothe me. I love the rain. I invite you to seek out your relationship with water within the music and lyrics of this album. It's time to get wet!
