Album Notes

Welcome to the sound of Bodi pop. This eleven song cycle of original compositions draws on the diverse influences of pop/alternative rock and soul, with traces of world music and bluesy jazz. Bowing to Venus is, by nature, a spiritual inquiry born of the transmutation of desire. It features vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano/keyboard, percussion/drum kit, violin, cello, alto saxophone and soprano saxophone. As a whole, the project is inspired by a veneration of the sacred feminine, resting within and illuminated by the view of dharmic wisdom, and rooted in a yogic sensibility.
