ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This fifth release by Vermont based mandolin master Will Patton is a musical journey through the jazz clubs of New York in the 50s, Havana in the 40's, Paris in the 30s and the heart of America. Featuring blistering bebop tunes, gentle waltzes, French Musette, a Cuban Charanga and a live in the studio duet with legendary gypsy guitarist Ninine Garcia, the music shares a sense of 'Flow', of focus and freedom. Jazz Mando.com's Ted Eschliman says of Will ". . . " Patton's signature sound vintage Gibson A mandolin not only reincarnates the souls of Dizzy, 'Trane, and Bud Powell, it croons marvelously throughout his now decade-long discography with other eclectic styles like South American Choro, and the sweet Gypsy sounds of Django Reinhardt and his Manouche kin. On the verge of releasing his fifth CD, the master has established himself as one of a handful of jazz mandolin global titans."
