Album Notes
Windsong Martin has been singing and circling with people for many years, and has become a Folk Icon for many. She was raised in Canada but has made her home in S. Oregon. Her songs are born from her love for nature and her passion for a compassionate world. Music has been a tool for bringing many together, as her songs are strong and rhythmic, with clear images and hopeful lyrics, which resonate in the hearts of many. Her songs have been shared by countless other singers and have travelled the world being translated into many languages. Her clear, resonant voice cuts thru the sound waves, and wakes up the hearts of the people, including children and elders. From folk, to tribal to reggae and light rock, her diversity of style keeps the music fresh and alive. She has recently moved into writing more Choral arrangements. She performs regularly with a rich array of musicians, teaches music to all age groups, supports benefit causes to protect the environment , and produces musical events encouraging others to share their music. Windsong's music is medicine!.
