Album Notes
A serendipitous opportunity to jam together resulted in an incredible synergy unfolding between the two unique writing and playing styles of both artists. Terry also sells Native American Flutes and met Paul in a local mall while displaying and playing the flutes. Their sound hooked him and that is how it all began.

This recent collaboration and musical experimentation between Terry and Paul has blossomed into the newly established duo "Wind Weaver". Audiences are surprised, delighted and captivated by the mesmerizing sounds and rhythms that intertwine as the flute weaves its song with the guitar.

Terry's music honors the traditional style of the Native American Flute beautifully, however her music also pushes beyond, delving into a wide range of genres including folk, celtic, medieval and jazz. Terry has been inspired by Mary Youngblood, Mark Holland and Autumn's Child, Scott August and R. Carlos Nakai. Terry travels to Native American Flute Festivals throughout North America and has performed at the Zion Canyon Art and Flute Festival, in Springdale, Utah and Flute Quest in the Seattle area.

Paul is a seasoned songwriter who throughout his career has written for television and other audio visual productions. He has released two solo CD's. Paul's guitar style and lyrics are heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell and Bruce Cockburn. With these and other talented artists as inspiration Paul has crafted a very personal style of his own.

Tranquil World/Native American music
The acoustic duo, Wind Weaver, and their album "Wild Threads" is an album that uses the musical talents of the Native American flute, acoustic guitar, and percussion to paint serene pictures in the mind with relaxing and contemplative sounds. In "Fluid Ooze" the melodic flute gently frolics around the steady, yet subdued sounds of a drum creating an atmosphere of serene tranquility. In "Aerial Wandering" a rhythmic and catchy acoustic guitar riff starts the song before an emotive flute comes in to tell a story that will enlighten your senses. "Summer Clouds" is a song in which a sympathetic flute and guitar combine to produce a well balanced song that will take you away to a warm summer day. The music within this album is sweet and tranquil as the Native American flute and acoustic guitar merge to create a feeling of placid relaxation. Whether you appreciate the sounds of these instruments or enjoy calming background music, "Wild Threads" is an album you will thoroughly enjoy.

Wild Threads from Wind Weaver - One Word Review - Excellence!
I absolutely love the Native American flute music and since I live in the southwest USA I am able to listen to alot of it live. I will be looking for Terry Mack to bring her talents to the Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona. I can't think of a better venue to listen to this type of music in a live format.

Until that happens though I will be looking for additional CD's from Terry to add to my collection of Native American flute music.

Paul Bezooyen's guitar is a perfect complement to Terry's flute and his solo number, "Welcome" just proves how masterful his guitar playing really is.

Plug this Mp3 into your iPod, slap on your headphones, close your eyes, and tell me you can't just see yourself somewhere in the Sonoran desert under a perfectly clear, star filled sky.

I dare you!

I haven't purchased Terry's CD yet, but it definitely warrants a review.

Very soothing. I felt connected to Terry. It brought me right back to "The Last of The Mohicans." and Magua the Huron. My favorites are Enchanted, Sundance, Jester's Feast and Elemental Chant.

Native American Flute Music Reaches New Heights
Ok, I admit I am prejudiced. After all, Terry Mack is my wife. But here is my personal take on Windweaver's music.

I love Native American Flute music. Traditionally, this kind of music has long low haunting sounds that are very restful and meditative but isn't like the melodic songs most of us are used to.

Some artists are pushing the edge and creating beautiful contemporary songs with the Native American Flute. My favorite artists doing this are Mary Youngblood, Mark Holland and Terry Mack (Wind Weaver).

Every song on this CD is powerful with its own melody. At one gig where Wind Weaver played, I noticed people walking around humming one of the songs - they are that kind of catchy, "stick in your head" melodies.

The flute and guitar together create a flavor that is a combination of folk, Celtic and medieval while still appealing to people who like traditional native flute music.

The songs on this CD carry you away to other places.

If you like Native American flute music like Mary Youngblood, Jeff Ball, Mark Holland and Scott August, you'll LOVE Wind Weaver.
