Album Notes

Womack grew up in Jackson, MS, located halfway between the rhythm and blues of Memphis and the jazz/Dixieland/gumbo of New Orleans. He played in various bands around the state. He spent over a decade living in Nashville studying the philosophies of country music and writing for one of the largest publishing companies in the world. He returned to Mississippi to assemble Guru which includes titles like:
Grow Up-When does a boy child become a man?
Burned Out-The effect of the media on our tiny little minds
Little Red Pill-Better Living Through Chemistry
See Them Spanish Fly-a history lesson (of sorts)
Country Club Boy-an inside look at a almost perfect life (must be nice)
