ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
W.O.N.E. is a very lyrically driven hip hop artist who can tell you a story, give a message with his words, or deliver catchy punchlines but refuses to be that "dumb it down radio rapper." His older brother got him into Hip Hop music and it forever changed his life.
Listening to everything from; A Tribe Called Quest and KRS-ONE to Run-Dmc and the Beastie Boys to Gangstarr and Outkast, He rarely listens to the radio these days. He says "I'd much rather go through my cd collection and put in some Curtis Mayfield or George Clinton than listen to the dumb it down dance songs that flood the airwaves these days."
Wone started writing in 1999 his freshman year of High School but never imagined it would completely take over his life, become his job, his career, and his world. "I did it as a hobby," he laughs,"I needed something to do as the teachers bored me with algebra. When was i ever gunna need to know this?" Finally in 2010 he got the push he needed from a fellow local artist/promoter to start performing and recording. "Once i got that first show knocked out and felt that rush of being on stage in front of a crowd, Nothing was going to stop me!" Now working on his Debut Album set to drop 11-11-11 and performing at Local shows Including Opening up for the Legendary Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony, it seems the ball is finally rolling aswell as gaining momentum. So keep your eyes AND EARS open and on the look out for this talented up and coming artist! "Hope to see all of you at a show soon... Maybe on a Stage near you!"
