Album Notes
An epic journey that began in 2003, the prolific works of The Wood Floors are the products of wise-men and madmen, givers and thieves of both power and beauty, vendors and victims of shame and guilt, they are scholars of a past never truly fulfilled and prophets after the fact. Essentially songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Chris Howe and drummer Eric Scheiner “The Wood Floors” have also encompassed a variety of other members in order to achieve a particular ideal. A live performance may find their members to be many, but the two principals are usually in the studio together or separate in effort to stretch The Wood Floors in a new direction. From traditional pop songcraft to turning away from realism and linear forms of narrative, The Wood Floors continue to grow and stretch their musical reach. With 14 albums in 4 years few bands are as driven to the flame of passion and creation as The Wood Floors, a flame that can both scorch and warm.

Written and recorded as part of the RPM Challenge ( Pale White Girls reflects upon the illnesses and deaths that have surrounded the songwriter in 2007. A dark ride for sure.
