Artist Bio

Woody Carter is a Native American of Potawatomi and Creek descent. He is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and grandson of famed Potawatomi artist, dancer, and flute maker/player Woody Crumbo. Woody credits his grandfather with inspiring him to play the native flute, and to honor him, he has dedicated his first flute CD to his memory. The title of the CD \"NMeshomes\" is pronounced Nuh Muhshowmus, and means \"My Grandfather\" in the Potawatomi language. Woody also plays other instruments on the CD including guitar, mandolin, siku (a.k.a. Zamponya or Pan Flute), celtic whistles, keyboard, hand drum, and bells and shakers. Woody lives in Arizona with his wife of 25 years and 3 children. Woody\'s day job is flying Boeing 737s as a Captain with a major U.S. airline. He plans on producing more music featuring the Native Flute.
