Album Notes
In Greek mythology, a Chimera is a creature made up of parts of many creatures, as is this CD. The tracks were improvised, either track by track, or live off the floor, and have that as a common thread. Keyboard band tracks are by Rolf Kempf, writer of Alice Cooper's Hello, Hurray, and show an evolution into funk, jazz, and latin styles. Ewout Dercksen on alto sax is a master of improvised melody with a clean, singing, sometimes bluesy tone that winds like a common thread through the constantly changing chords and structures from the keys.
Jason Douglas is on fire on his acoustic guitar propelling the apocryphal Knight In Chaos into the stratosphere and back.
Hypnotic and at times compelling, this offering stands up to many listenings with pleasure.
