Album Notes
World Collision is a new world music fusion project of former Neurotica guitarist Shawn Bowen. This music is the start of a journey way off the beaten path for him, hence the album title \"Embark\". Shawn\'s former band was named in Rolling Stone magazine as being \"one of the 10 best bands of Ozzfest 2002\", but there is no distortion or vocals whatsoever on Embark. World Collision features the sounds of classical guitar, hammered dulcimer, sitar, tanpura, harmonium, bass guitar, native american flute, bamboo saxaphone, and various drums and percussion including djembe, djun djuns, frame drum, udu, and tabla. This album also has some nature sounds including a summer rain during \"Skywater\", and the song \"Marguerite\'s bamboo\" is an 8 minute recording of a huge bamboo archway blowing and creaking in the wind at 3am accompanied by tabla and a bamboo saxaphone solo. The only guest on this album is Jeremy Lembo of the group \"Didge Revolution\" playing didgeridoo on the track \"...A desert at night\". This music is very soothing, medatative, and engaging, great for headphones, massages, and sex...
