ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Come to Me" is the seminal track that represents Worldwide Groove Corporation's official [occasional] departure from the cool and undemanding songs from their previous release. Known for their electronic reinventions of jazz standards, their Chillodesiac Lounge vol. 1 record set the perfect atmosphere for a cocktail party or an evening of romance. While WGC enjoy a simple vibe with many of their tracks, Ellen Tift has brought a much more complex emotion to the lyrics of many of their new songs. "Life is complex, and as a songwriter, I find it necessary to write from the entire emotional spectrum whether it be tongue in cheek silliness or utter devastation," says Tift. And yet, no matter the emotion, the WGC constant will always be a mixture of electronic sounds, lush production, and hypnotic beats. "I hope our fans will come along for the ride."
