ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Over the past few years, the two things people have requested of me the most are a guitar CD and a Christmas CD. Well, this is a little of both, and I hope you enjoy it.
I would also like to thank the other musicians who helped me with this project. Jeff Baker played sax on “Have a Merry Christmas Without Me”. Mel Thorstensen played harmonica on tracks 1, 9, and 12. Eric Thorstensen played viola on tracks 1 and 12 . My favorite pianist, Robyn Lensch, played keyboards on tracks 2, 5, and 9. I played all guitars, mandolins, bass, percussion, and all other keyboards you hear.
I wrote words and music for tracks 2, 5, 7, and 11. I wrote the instrumental, “The Winter of our Discontent” in 1978 while at Belmont College. It finally made it to production after 32 years! All other medleys and covers of these classic Christmas songs were arranged by me.
This project is dedicated to my Dad, Hap, and his wife, Dode, who loved Christmas together more than any people I have ever known.
Have a Merry Christmas This Year!
